National road 41 from Huittinen to Aura

In my previous post we traveled from Aura to Huittinen via national road 41 and in this we drive from Huittinen to Aura. So we start at intersection of National road 2 and old national road 9, which is now days from here to Tampere as national road 12 and to Turku national road 41, which we are driving. I was going to say today, but I drove this way back in... March or February? Well, back then there were snow, which could mean that this was shot also in during Midsummer festive. As the running joke goes. And then we pass the Vampula intersection: Virttaa highway strip, again, but this time from different direction. And this time without slush in the windshield . Threesome between Nakkila and Harjavalta

When I was driving around Kokemäki year ago, I noticed that there are three roads that lead to Harjavalta, and actually you can almost drive all the way to Pori in three different roads. And this is the second part of that story. Driving three different roads between Nakkila and Harjavalta, getting closer to the Pori. I drove this set on last fall, early winter. First, drive from Harjavalta to Nakkila on the main road 2. And then from Nakkila back to Harjavalta on the main road 2. Then from Harjavalta to Nakkila on connecting road 2543. And then from Nakkila to Harjavalta on connecting road 2543. And then we drive the connecting road 2440 from Harjavalta to Nakkila. Which reminds me that I need to drive this connecting road from start to end and back start again. And finally we drive back from Nakkila to Harjavalta on the connecting road 2440. And next time we'll be driving from Nakkila to Ulvila, on all three separate ways.

Regional road 224 from Aura to Salo and back.

I have driven this road between intersection of Highway 1 and Aura many times, when we were travelling to Säkylä, as we wanted to explore the roads out of the highway or main road level. Seututie 224 is a regional road that runs from Aura via Tarvasjoki and Marttila to Salo in the province of Varsinais-Suomi. The length of the road is 43 kilometers. The area was initially a part of the Lieto parish. A church was built in the village of Prunkkala in 1636, forming a new chapel community. In 1908, an order to separate Prunkkala from Lieto was made. The villages of Kuuskoski, Hypöinen, Viilala and Lahto were transferred to it from Pöytyä. The parish became fully independent in 1917 under the current name Aura, after the Aura train station and the community that had formed around it in the late 19th century On the Salo side, the road first crosses Vaskionjoki, after crossing it arrives in Haliko's Vaskio agglomeration and crosses Kuusjoki near its confluence with Vaskionjoki.
