So, this is kind of the first time for me to drive around Huittinen, or some still call it Lauttakylä. I have passed this place many, many times when going to Tampere or to Helsinki. It is an intersection of National road 2 and National road 12.
First I tried to drive the countryside road to Kokemäki and it was kind of difficult to find a straight road from Huittinen to Kokemäki. Well, there is a national road 2, but that is a national road. One that I thought would go side by side national road 2 was mostly gravel road and then the middle of the road was also a private road, which is owned and managed by land owners where that road is situated.
After a few tries and errors I just had to drive a national road 2 for a bit. But then the countryside road was great. I drove on a small crest of esker, which is part of Säkylänharju. It was quite an experience to see light pole on the other side, where you were practically driven at the same height as those are.
And then I drove back.
When the road is not familiar it really feels like new for a short time.
