Countryside drive in Huittinen part 2

And while I was driving around in Huittinen, I decided to drive to Vampula. I have driven this before, but it was middle of warm and soggy winter, without snow. So, this was in the end of summer, but the weather was very pleasant. As a child I use to spend some time in the summer in Vampula, or rather in Rutava, where my grandma use to live in a farm. When I moved out of the capitol area, to near Vampula, one of the first things I did the first summer was to find out that farm. I don't know what happened it to exactly, but I know that my grandma moved out of it in early '90s.

Vampula is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated with Huittinen on 1 January 2009. Farming started along Loimijoki already in the Iron Age, and by the 13th century at the latest, almost all of Vampula's major inhabited villages were recorded by the church authority. The first inhabitants arrived in the Vampula area probably from Huittinen, but the oldest church connections point to Säkylä.

Midway through the drive you are driving parallel to National Road 41 and it's only 70 meters at the narrowest point.
